real easy
| <mitkok> | Hey, guys. Is there an easy way to split an array of 100 integers for example and write 3 numbers per line separated by whitespace into a file ?
|
| <Izhido> | #include "realeasyfunctions.h" / Split100intArrayWrite3xLineWithWhitespaceInto(FILE* f); |

My server
Recently installed GNU My server. Though there are many such freeware but I prefer OSS. It’s perfect for sharing personal files (for the paranoids). It also opens many super transformic activities that would easily go undetected by normal eyes. Why wouldnt? It’s a freaking server after all. All i want to say that it is usually not safe to run a server without configuring it. ‘My server’ provides minimal customizations compared to other large scale deployed server software like apache/iis. They say: “MyServer is a powerful and easy to configure web server. Its multi-threaded architecture makes it extremely scalable and usable in large scale sites as well as in small networks, it has a lot of built-in features. Share your files in minutes! “
True. Got features but its usually not recommended for the home users. You need to tweak it first. And now, i am trying to do just that. Talking about security, all intrusions gets off my server from the firewall i have. i still need to test it for various other scenarios.
One thing is for sure. i get a lot of attacks here. My firewall(comodo) got many attacks in like..uh 15 minutes there are 90 attacks, 80% of all are from 117.198.*.*. All from BSNL. At night gets even worst. 500 attacks in an hour or so.I once installed snort on my 8.04. worked like hell! it needs lot of configuring before i can setup. and i am too lazy to do that now. otherwise it would be so much fun.
So, my server is the solution if you get offended by “dont be evil” slogans from you know who. M$ always. Facebook. I could go on. Extreme paranoia. -_-

Ubuntu (>!)
Just downloaded the 9.10((>!)). It’s working cooler than before, probably faster than before. But I think they really need to improve the Network Manager Applet. It really sucks the first time and the migrating people would definitely not like it. But, then again it depends on hardware installed. It worked pretty well after sometime. It also gave me a beautiful “Kernel has some serious problems” error. I wonder what caused that. And I could not find it anywhere in the .logs. That error asked me to send error report to devs but it could not, cause I was not connected.
Then there is this ‘badal’ thingy. Ubuntu One is what they call. I am always 501 light years away from cloud.Private clouds are okayish, because they are useful. I hate public clouds. It’s just not good for a normal home user. It proves to be useful for the corporates and IT firms. Home users have much complicated feature rich applications, from which they can share pictures, videos, and other documents with their friends and family. Ubuntu’s 2GB would certainly won’t be enough for many home users. Atleast not for me.
The new Human theme is also worth mentioning here. It looks good and tray icons are simpler and cooler. And few new wallpapers. Plus a very cool software center, but I like the ole synaptic and apt.
Whoa, I found the bug, while i was writing this post. Damn, its so long, havnt written long since months. Here is what it looks like:

GangReen
I was thinking to bank all my past posts from blogspot to this blog, but plain lazy I am. I will be writing all stuff here that I always wanted to write here and it gives me so much fun.
You might be thinking what a stupid little title this is. GangReen came to my mind when I had nothing on my mind but some old cartoon that I used to watch. I don’t know its name but all I remember is there were a group of 3 or 4 guys called “Gangreen Boys”. This name fascinates me. Don’t know why. I think it’s from powerpuff girls :P
While my short time at home here, I was thinking to replace my splitter that splits telephone and the DSL modem. They say we can talk on the telephone even with the DSL connection ON. But it does not work that way. The splitter is basically an analog low pass filter that separates analog telephone, the POTS line and the DSL modem. I thought this problem persisted with all the BSNL(Indian ISP) customers. But no, I realized who the culprit was. So, tomorrow I will be visiting the local ISP office here at Rajkot and fight(:() for replacing my splitter.
So far so good.
